What’s your favorite F45 workout and why?
I like lifting heavy weights so I love the resistance days. That being said I like to push and get my heart rate going as well. So, I guess I like them all!
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Oldham County, went to college in Lexington, and now live in St Matthews with my family.
Fun fact about you?
I grew up clogging and was a member of the Diamond Dolls state championship clogging team LOL! As a kid I also had a pet pig, named Pig Man who lived inside!
Way too many to name! When I’m not eating protein bars, shakes and boneless skinless chicken breast (yeah right), I love chili, sushi, lasagna, steak and anything not good for me! My husband has a wicked pizza addiction so by default I eat a lot of pizza as well!
What’s your favorite hobby outside of F45?
There is nothing in this world I love more than spending time with my three kids and husband. We love anything outside especially golf, boating and swimming! We live by the water in the summer! We love to travel…and try to get to the beach every chance we get!
What does F45 mean to you?
This is going to be long! With F45 I’ve finally found what I’ve been looking for in a fitness program. I have always enjoyed working out but get really bored and unmotivated with repetitive and predictable workouts (i.e. at home dvd workouts…you know the ones I’m talking about). I’ve done just about everything and while I enjoyed other programs for a while, I always found something I didn’t quite like. Be it too much emphasis on lifting heavy or way too much emphasis on cardio. I don’t need a 300-pound back squat or a 4-minute mile! The classic too hot, too cold scenario with F45 being just right!
Aside from finding a fitness program I enjoy I want to be fit so I can be the healthiest, happiest version of myself. I want to be able to keep up with my kids and be strong enough to carry my six year old to bed (while he will still let me)!
I love the community aspect of F45 and building friendships with other people who also enjoy working out. As a stay at home Mom, most of my day consists of conversations with my 2-year-old Madelyn and acting as a short order cook and carhop for her and my 4 year old son! I love being a mom and wouldn’t change it for the world but I also enjoy going to the gym and having an hour to focus on me. A break from changing the next dirty diaper or fetching the 45th refill of whole milk and flavor blasted goldfish for the lousy tippers at table one! F45 is my daily therapy session and time out of the house with like-minded adults!
